Dr. Sherry Gilmer

Dr. Gilmer is a Therapeutically Certified Doctor of Optometry with over 25 years of clinical experience. A highly personable and competent clinician dedicated to patient care.

 

Dr. Gilmer is a native of South Carolina and obtained her A.A. Degree, cum laude and Phi Theta Kappa, from Anderson College, Anderson,SC. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree, Beta Beta Beta National Honor Society, at Erskine College, Due West, SC and completed her studies at Indiana University School of Optometry, Bloomington, IN where she earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree.

 

Dr. Gilmer also completed an Externship in Ocular Disease at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Huntington, WV, and the Walker Eye Clinic in Indianapolis, IN.

Dr. Gilmer is a member of the American Optometric Association and an InfantSee provider. She was recognized in Women in Optometry in 2009 as an Innovation Award Winner.

When you call or stop by our office, Dorothy will be the first person to greet you.

Dorothy recently moved from Charleston to Greenville and has been working with Dr. Gilmer since June 2022. She is a welcome addition to the office!

Before joining our office, Dorothy worked many years in customer service.
